Privacy policy

Who is responsible

Pota Studio – Arben Rusiti, Wasserstrasse 22, 4056 Basel, Switzerland, contact@potayado.com

Website

Pre-registration: When you sign up, we store your email address, your chosen language and the time of sign-up. We use it only to tell you about the release of Potayado and the pre-registration gifts. We never sell or share it.

Server logs: When you visit the website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data such as IP address, time and requested page to deliver the site securely.

App

Game account: The app creates an anonymous account, without name or email. It stores your focus sessions (start, duration), your cards, gifts and items, and your friend code.

Trading: When you trade cards, other players see your trade offer and your friend code.

Birthday: If you want, you can enter the day and month of your birthday (no year) so Pota can celebrate with you. Only you can see it.

Saving progress and securing your account: Your room, dog, items and settings are also saved in your game account so nothing gets lost. If you want, you can secure your account with an email and password to take it to a new device. The password is only stored encrypted; we use the email only for signing in and confirmation.

On your device: Notes about your plans stay on your device only.

Weather in the live stream: The live stream asks Open-Meteo for the current weather in Tokyo. No data about you is sent.

Service providers

Hosting of website and app: Netlify, Inc. (USA). Database and game account: Supabase (servers in Tokyo, Japan). Fonts: Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA); loading the fonts sends your IP address to Google.

How long we keep data

We delete pre-registration email addresses when you unsubscribe, at the latest 6 months after release. We keep game data as long as you use the app, and delete it completely on request.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction or deletion of your data and withdraw your consent at any time: contact@potayado.com. You may also complain to a data protection authority (in Switzerland: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, FDPIC).
